What are the costs to engage Hawk Vagg?
Hawk charges a daily fee for the presentation plus travel expenses. As Hawk will speak in any location across Australia, the costs will vary according to the location. Contact Hawk with all your requirements and he will provide you with a comprehensive quote covering engagement fees, travel and accommodation.
Can I speak to you prior to booking the event?
Absolutely! Hawk welcomes your contact before the event to learn as much about your business/organisation and people as possible. He welcomes discussions on the objectives for your presentation and to discuss any matters relating to the site visit / event / logistics. It is important to speak with Hawk well before the event to ensure all your requirements are accommodated.
How far in advance should I book?
It’s advisable to book at least two months in advance of the required date. Hawk travels across the country delivering his inspiring presentation so it is important to book as far ahead as possible to avoid disappointment. Depending on advance booking already confirmed, shorter booking time frames may be accommodated. The earlier you book, the greater chance Hawk can accommodate your preferred date.
Is there a cancellation fee once a presentation is booked?
There is no cancellation fee for bookings cancelled more than 28 days the event. Cancellation fees apply under 28 days’ notice.
What equipment do we need to provide for your presentation?
As every site is different we will provide you with our requirements when your booking is confirmed. Hawk requires:
- Access for a wheelchair. This is usually overcome with information about the site and advice from us to allow safe access. We view it as a learning experience for both parties!
- Public address system. If the group is large, then a public address system will be required. Hawk prefers to use a lapel microphone as it allows him freedom to move.
- Computer, projector and screen.
Will you tour our site and meet our people?
Yes, we would love to tour your site and meet your people. This often reinforces the safety message with another visual of the wheelchair and any obstacles Hawk may encounter. It is another great opportunity for your people to interact and get to know Hawk.
Do you allow time after the presentation to meet with the attendees?
Absolutely! Hawk encourages you to allow time in your schedule after the presentation for people to meet and chat with him. A lot of are not comfortable asking questions in the public Q & A session and may prefer asking Hawk questions over a nice cold drink!
Can you individualise the presentation to our site/message?
Yes. Hawk encourages you to discuss your particular requirements and company’s safety journey with him prior to the presentation so that it can be tailored to your requirements.
How long does your safety presentation last?
The minimum standard presentation time is 1 hour but the presentations can be tailored to your time frames (work and/or production commitments) and requirements. The event can be structured as a lecture/presentation or workshop format. For example, some manufacturing clients prefer to schedule the presentation immediately prior to the ‘shift’ meal break as that allows people time to interact without the pressure of having to be back at work.
Is there a restriction on the size of the group?
Hawk has spoken to groups from six to many hundreds. There is no restriction on the number of attendees. The only challenge is to ensure everyone is able to hear the presentation.
